God made them male and female

While unelected U.S. Supreme Court Justices debated the issue of same-sex marriage in America on Tuesday, NBC’s Today featured a panel promoting gay marriage. Co-host Matt Lauer parroted a controversial ABC/Washington Post poll that supposedly shows a majority of Americans now support same-sex marriage. Carson Daly (The Voice) chimed in saying, “There is a new normal out there. We gotta move on.”

NBC’s Nancy Snyderman even went so far as to say same-sex marriage will be accepted by all people “once it’s institutionalized” and even compared gay marriage activists to the civil rights movement! (Juan Williams did the same thing Tuesday night on Fox News while debating ACLJ’s Jay Sekulow.) Attorney Star Jones also chimed in and compared gay marriage to interracial marriage.

On National Public Radio’s (NPR) Morning Edition, Carrie Johnson had four liberal and/or homosexual activists as guests and not one conservative or Christian view represented. NPR gladly receives our tax dollars and has a history of left-wing and anti-Christian bias, especially when it comes to the same-sex “marriage” issue. It should be called National Progressive Radio.

But this isn’t new and NBC is not alone. The point is that today’s entertainers in the mainstream media, formerly known as “journalists,” used to care at least at least little about what the people thought.

On ABC’s Good Morning America, Terry Moran reported from outside the Supreme Court: “this issue is changing in the American mind so fast…” The show featured four voices in support of the high court affirming gay marriage and just one against. ABC’s Josh Elliot spoke at a Gay and Lesbian Alliance Defamation (GLAAD) dinner and declared, “I’m proud to work at a place that believes in advocacy journalism!”

It has been proven the media are generally opposed to the Bible and generally favor laws to redefine marriage. Three out of four ‘journalists’ believe homosexuality is acceptable and no different a lifestyle than heterosexuality.

The same media that resisted George W. Bush’s stances on social issues has gladly kept in step with the Obama White House’s marching orders to bring about progressive social change to America. Shortly after being elected president, Barack Obama gave a speech to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the largest lesbian, gay, bisexual transgender (LGBT) advocacy group and political lobbying organization in the United States. He told the audience they will “see a time in which we as a nation finally recognize relationships between two men or two women as just as real and admirable as relationships between a man and a woman.”

When it came time to make a 2012 campaign statement, non-practicing Catholic Joe Biden happily endorsed same-sex marriage and homosexuality. The party of abortion, big government, and irresponsible spending openly added same-sex marriage to its platform and the mainstream media has gleefully followed suit.

Not many of us can forget the vitriol of those who oppose traditional marriage and Christian values when Chick-fil-A president Dan Cathy was attacked for his beliefs and free speech. Cathy simply said marriage should be between one man and one woman and that he chooses to operate his company with Christian values. Network news and the cable shows provided a platform for homosexual activists, Hollywood liberals, and plenty of progressive Democrats to rail against Dan Cathy and others who supported biblical values.

Remember the result? Chick-Fil-A enjoyed record sales last August when millions of people across the country responded by eating at their restaurants. Just because activists have the loudest voices doesn’t mean they’re right. Though liberals have the megaphone of the media, they are a malignant minority.

Most Americans oppose redefining marriage, and according to the 2010 census, same-sex couples comprise less than one-half of 1 percent of the population. Faith, family, and marriage are foundational to this Republic under God.

Marriage is a religious civil liberty. The Constitution does not support or invite government to define the precious covenant of marriage. Instead of blaming the media and government for their hostility toward Christianity, we must pray for their souls before it’s too late. They need to be saved by the very God they’re opposing. We cannot expect unbelievers to act differently – they don’t submit to the same moral authority or code by which we strive to live.

In a Red State article this week, Dana Loesch wrote:

Tolerance is demanded of Christians but in this pluralistic society, little, if any, tolerance is afforded to Christian beliefs. Christians aren’t the antagonists here, but they do seem to have fewer rights than those engaging in lawfare to bring about forced acceptance.

In the article, Loesch gave many examples where homosexual activists and those pushing the gay agenda sued Christians, conservatives, and others who disagreed with their lifestyle. Victims of intolerance and law suits include:

A Christian woman, owner of a bed and breakfast in Hawaii for not allowing a gay couple to rent a room

A Kentucky company that politely declined printing t-shirts for a gay and lesbian organization

A Methodist church in NJ that didn’t want its building used for same-sex weddings

Christian photographers in New Mexico who turned down a client because it was a same-sex wedding

Christian bed and breakfast owners in PA for not hosting a same sex civil union ceremony

Earlier this year, due to the uproar of activists on the left over a past sermon on homosexuality, the Obama administration forced Christian pastor Louie Giglio to resign from speaking at the inauguration ceremony.

While the media cheers, God is being blotted out of America and discrimination against Christians will increase. Threats will continue against churches, Christian businesses, schools, and private individuals. God is not surprised by these attacks, but the bottom line is they will eventually refuse to coexist with us because they cannot allow Christians to preach the gospel and quote the Bible.

Truth is hate to those who hate the truth.

The broadcast outlets also ignored the March for Marriage event this week, choosing not to cover a march of thousands of people on the Supreme Court.

The primary objectives of the Left are to eradicate Christianity in America and, in an effort to remove the Bible’s influence, take down the church. The good news is more people are paying attention, distrust of the media is at an all-time high, and approximately 92% of Americans use multiple platforms to get their news.

Jesus said that we’d be hated because of Him and that those who endure will be saved. (Matthew 10:22) God’s forgiveness through Christ is available to everyone, including those that hate Him. All we can do is keep seeking, speaking, and standing for the truth. God is slow to anger and gracious, but His patience won’t last forever.

ERADICATE continues to receive excellent comments and feedback, and Life Sentence Publishing did a 2nd printing of the book. The response from committed Christians has been very encouraging.  Ninety-four (94%) of the reviews posted on Amazon and elsewhere have been 5-Star & very positive so we believe the factual and truthful content is hitting home with concerned Americans.

  • “If this doesn’t wake us up nothing will! Excellent and scary. Well documented, challenging and eye opening. I’ll share this book with as many people as I can.”
  • “THIS BOOK WILL PIERCE YOUR HEART! I applaud David for his research in writing a book of such depth and truth… May God add His blessings upon this courageous work.”
  • “I actually took pages and pages of notes on this book. I was in total awe of what I thought I knew, but didn’t really know much about at all… [ERADICATE] is well written and hard hitting. It is easy to read and keeps you captivated… This book has renewed my passion for some things and its time I started getting proactive in my beliefs again.”
  • The world needs more Christians to stand up and speak out and I pray and encourage you to continue. I just finished your book, ‘Eradicate, Blotting Out God in America,’ and I feel it is a ‘must read’ for all Christians. We have to continue to wake up to the evil that is upon us and refuse to be silent no more before the America we all knew is no more. Thanks for such an uplifting and heartfelt book that speaks the truth!”
  • “The very first chapter entitled Why Truth Matters is foundational to the entire book. ‘Try defining truth apart from God or without universal absolutes and see where that gets you.’ (page 16) We are now taught that truth is relative. What I love most about Eradicate, is that it ultimately points people back to the source of truth which is the Word of God.”
  • “Wow! Chapter 10, ‘It Could Never Happen In America’ should be required reading for EVERY American.”
  • “Fiorazo tackles issues like abortion and homosexuality which the church has been afraid to confront… This book is intended to stir action. Readers will find thorough research, exceptional references and shocking quotes all sited impeccably and easily verifiable. The facts cannot be ignored. It’s time this generation rose up from its slumber and took the eraser back from the forces in power before they blot out God entirely.”
  • “ERADICATE has caused me to pause, pray about my beliefs, draw closer to the Lord in the decisions I make … Very thought provoking, very necessary.”
  • “I ordered this book after the author had been in my home town and did a book signing at the local book store…  The book definitely makes you think about this country and the direction it is headed. Many people say it isn’t possible for this [God to be blotted out] to happen, but it is right under our noses. Anyone who cares about this country should read the book!”
  • “I have seen much of what Mr. Fiorazo speaks and he documents it very expertly. I was not aware, though, that … movements were afoot to lay the groundwork for the abortion movement, for the removal of God and His Word from the school house, and the complete revolutionization of the political framework that makes America “American.”
  • “I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It shook me up, made me think and helped me to stop being complacent about my own Christianity. I think this book is well researched and written from the heart, with a sincere hope that Americans will let God into their hearts and country again!”
  • “Fiorazo takes a look back at events from the history of America, beginning with the Founding Fathers and going through today… Many people who write on this topic just rant and rave about “heathens” turning away from God, but Fiorazo lays the blame, not on those who made changes, but on the Christians who stood silent.”
  • “My experience when reading this book, included a mixture of responses such as…intrigue, surprise, fascination, mourning, deep sadness and yet also – a stirring of compassion for those who are lost in the bondage of the evil described. David did his best to point us to the Gospel and I want to commend him greatly for doing so! Aside from the Gospel – there is no power to affect this world or its people. I pray that through this book…we might accept the challenge of the author to recognize our condition and that of the world…moving us into action that starts with fervent prayers to be the salt, light, witnesses, ambassadors, soldiers and servants that the Christ life commands.”
  • “I found Eradicate, Blotting out God in America to be both relieving and grieving at the same time. I was relieved that someone was willing to speak truth despite what others think and yet grieved as I think how far we (the church and the nation) have declined over the years.”
  • “This book is a must read for every Christian; …Once I started reading this book, I couldn’t put it down. I was convicted, concerned, and awakened from my own complacency on some issues in our culture. I am also motivated to continue to fight the good fight and relieved to know I’m not alone in my concern and outrage about the lack of truth and fairness in today’s media.”
  • “David Fiorazo’s book Eradicate is a fascinating and engaging walk through history… His passion to share the truth spills out onto the pages, leaving you breathless in every chapter. This book is founded on heavy research, historical fact, and the truth of God’s Word… It is a must read.”
  • “The hard-hitting facts of this book will rend your heart and open your spiritual eyes. The enemy of our soul has been trying to kill, steal and destroy… the book always points to Jesus Christ as our only hope and source of truth. Eradicate shows why it’s so critical for Christians to understand the times we live in. With a strong sense of urgency, I recommend you read it.”
  • “It really is a history lesson for Christians with encouragement and guidance of where to go from here. This book was well researched and well thought out. Is there a possibility that you may be offended by some of the messages and warnings? Absolutely. Jesus’ message offended people as well; He offended the religious people more than non-religious, actually. If you want a Christian perspective to American history, buy this book. If you want a “feel good” and “peace and love” message, be prepared to be shaken up.”
  • “To those who have not trusted Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, I can only imagine that some will find this book to be foolish. But to those of us who have made Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, this book is a grim reality of what has happened right underneath our noses and where we are headed…”
  • “This isn’t some little book, at 368 pages, it will take some time, but it is well written and hard hitting. It is easy to read and keeps you captivated. As parents, we are warned, that if we aren’t educating our children, the world will gladly take on the role of educator for us. …This book is a must read for every Christian, we must read more of the “world view” type books to keep us informed about what is going on in our society today. We as Christians must keep informed and I feel that this book is a great resource for any library.”
  • “Mr. Fiorazo is fearless in exposing over a dozen ways God is being blotted out in America. In this excellent work, David calmly cuts right to the chase: God or Man? Quotes from the Bible and America’s Founding Fathers are effectively juxtaposed with today’s leading liberals. This text should be used in today’s classroom. I highly recommend this book and encourage you to read it. God Bless!”
  • “Only the lazy, complacent, and apathetic American have no need to read this book. All others will find a valuable and unmeasurable treasure which will hopefully not only stimulate their hearts, but permit them to see what secularism and relativism is doing to this country.
  • “Eradicate is a fascinating and revealing compilation of quotes and facts and explanations of historical and modern figures and their attacks on American’s Christianity. It is almost unbelievable how much garbage people accept today that would have drawn a protest not so long ago… Be educated. Be shocked by the sinfulness we have accepted in America. Read Eradicate. This book will be taking its place in my library.”
  • “I have wept much while reading David’s work. He painstakingly researched the truth of how our culture has been desensitized and programmed into a state of apathy. If the church is going to look like the world we have little hope of standing up to the agenda of the Enemy. Forgive us, Father! Pray! Thank you David for taking a stand and for being a trumpet for the Lord!”
  • “I thought this was a great book… So glad people are writing this kind of stuff instead of just allowing all of this stuff to go on without a word. Thank you so much. I myself say stuff here and there regarding it. But I feel so alone.”
  • “I can confirm that just as Mr. Fiorazo so astutely records, the 1960s brought about drastic change and society continued to spiral downward and unfailingly to the abyss that we now see. But the question was raised, “Where were the Christians?”
  • Eradicate: Blotting Out God In America by David Fiorazo is a hard hitting book examining the catalysts in our cultural decline… I recommend this book to those who are interested in a detailed study of the moral decline of America. It will encourage the reader to be alert and proactive in recognizing those daily influences that are weakening Christian’s influence in America.”
  • Eradicate, Blotting out God in America is a must read for any serious Christian out there. When people turn away from God, they reap what they sow. This is a must read book!!!!”
  • “All I can say is “wow”. This is a must read! David Fiorazo does a thorough job of illustrating the present state of America, and the steady elimination of God from our mainstream values… I found the book to be very interesting and it left me wanting more.”
  • “Wish I was able to put this book into the hands of every person I know and even those I don’t! We need the kind of awakening that I got from reading your book! I don’t think people begin to know what’s really going on in America!”
  • “It burdens me to see the deception that is occurring and how so many really don’t see it… Your book puts into words the thoughts that run rampantly in my mind when I see all that is going on and I try to digest it and then share it with others. I will be buying several copies to give out. Two to those, pastors! Thanks again for your hard work researching and writing your book.”

  • “Every Christian should read this book—eye opening! Well-researched. A page turner.”
  •  “This is a great book I am still enjoying. Everyone would do well to order a copy. It’s one of the best books I have ever laid my eyes upon.”
  • “You should give a copy of this book to your “sleeping Christian friends” and go ahead and get one for your pastor; you really have to read this book! It is at the top of my favorites now, in the top 3.”
  • I finished Eradicate just a few minutes ago & had to take a moment to say thank you for writing it. I plan to buy a hard copy (I have the Kindle version) to share with those who are not likely to pursue reading it on their own. I look forward to promoting it to saved & unsaved family & friends!”
  •  “David, your book is near the top of my all time favorites!”
  • “Worth reading but prepare to be upset at truth spoken here. It is NOT pretty, it is sobering. We really need a major wake-up call today as true believers in an all powerful all knowing GOD.”
  • “I enjoyed Eradicate very much. The amount of research you did was incredible. The history, the background was fascinating. I have passed the website link on to several friends. I plan on reading it again to refresh and pick up on any facts I may have missed. Great job & well done!!”
  • “I’ve read your book; parts of it several times and it is, along side of the Bible, the BEST book I’ve EVER read!!”
  • Knowledge is power only when wielded wisely; it’s the difference between knowing and doing something about it. ‘Eradicate’ is textbook reference of the highest professional publication. Awareness isn’t just a novel idea; it’s a factual necessity in answer to a higher calling. This is not only a keeper; it’s a book that you will want to give.”
  • “This is one of two books I read in the last month on my kindle that I then purchased in paperback to loan out to friends and family. I am interested in history and this book has excellent documentation on the history of our country and how far we have gone from the intent of the founding fathers. It is also current as it was written just prior to the 2012 election. I was constantly reading parts of the book aloud to my husband and sons as I read it. I highly recommend it to everyone.”
  • “I just heard about David and he works in the city where I live! It is no longer possible for Christians to be passive about what is happening in our world. His research and method of presenting fact is so inspiring. We need to stand strong and defend Christianity. This is a great read!”
  • “Thanks for writing this book! I really loved it. I thought you did an excellent job at backing up all your statements with solid research. I found myself not being able to put it down so I blame you for my loss of some sleep! It is very eye-opening and it magnifies the importance of ALL believers to be praying for this country and to be sharing the Gospel with anyone who can steam up a mirror by breathing!”
  • “Two thumbs up to David Fiorazo for tackling some hard topics with this book. The attention to detail is amazing, but its not just hearsay–everything is referenced and fact-checked. It’ll ruffle the feathers of the liberals and progressives, but its high time they were called out on the issues of today. Its clear that alot of thought and time went into this project. David is a man after God’s own heart–you won’t be disappointed reading this if you want clear, Bible-driven truth…

Charles Spurgeon once said, “When the sinner sees the awful consequences of breaking the Law of God—that he cannot escape the certainty of judgment—he will see his need to put on the Lord Jesus Christ. When we preach future punishment by the Law, the sinner comes to Christ solely to flee from ‘the wrath to come.’”

The former founding pastor of Mars Hill Bible Church in Grand Rapids, MI and a popular icon in the emergent church movement, Rob Bell grew his following in part by being a friend of the world. Bell often uses suggestive questions rather than declarations to challenge traditional Christian doctrine and the Bible’s authority.

In typical emergent fashion, Bell often creates more ambiguity instead of clarity, having no genuine commitment to absolute truth. So it’s no surprise to many of us that Bell came out in favor of homosexuality last week:

I am for marriage. I am for fidelity. I am for love, whether it’s a man and woman, a woman and a woman, a man and a man. I think the ship has sailed and I think the church needs — I think this is the world we are living in and we need to affirm people wherever they are.

I’d say that’s a bit different than Jesus’ definition of marriage. Of course God loves every one of us, but nowhere in Scripture does He tolerate sin – any sin. He’s holy; He’s God and we’re not. You might recall in 2011 when MSNBC’s Martin Bashir grilled Bell over his mushy position on Hell and eternal judgment. Even Bashir, a liberal cable TV host, referred to Bell’s teachings as unbiblical and historically unreliable. Bashir confronted Bell and said he was “amending the gospel so that it’s palatable,” and “much easier to swallow.”

It’s easy to see that Bell is giving our culture exactly what it wants: nothing too confrontational, convicting or absolute. In the Gospels, Jesus described hell as a fiery furnace, outer darkness, a place of destruction, agony, torment, and weeping and gnashing of teeth. Bell, on the other hand claims:

“For Jesus, heaven and hell were present realities. Ways of living we can enter into here and now. He talked very little of the life beyond this one… No amount of clever marketing will attract people if we teach that ‘God will punish people for all of eternity.’

Because of sin, judgment must come. The Word of God leaves no doubt about the existence of hell and severity of it. God has provided everything we need to know about hell and how to avoid it through faith in the sacrifice and resurrection of Christ. Bell is an example of the product of Protestant Liberalism that evolved back in the nineteenth century. When the message is watered-down, it can be confusing to the biblically illiterate.

This brings us to Universalism which teaches that all people will ultimately be saved no matter what they believe here on earth. You can live the way you want: sin, curse God or deny Christ and still make it into heaven. Some Universalists say their salvation is through the atonement of Jesus Christ while others think everybody will go to heaven eventually regardless of whether or not they have put their faith in Christ.

Apparently this universal redemption will be realized either during a person’s lifetime or after their death in some future state. Since there are many variations of Universalists, it’s not possible to place them all in one doctrinal category.

Rob Bell stated, “What Jesus does is declare that he, and he alone, is saving everybody. And then he leaves the door way, way open.” But, in Matthew 7:13-14, Jesus Christ said:

Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

Christian Universalism however, holds that all of mankind will ultimately be saved through Jesus, whether we place our faith in Him as the Son of God or not. This salvation is not from hell, but from sin, thus pretty much eliminating the truth about a future Judgment Day. As you can imagine, this is a very appealing teaching to young people, and an entire generation of evangelicals has already been poisoned with this unbiblical doctrine.

After all, who wouldn’t want to accept a God of love without having to hear about repentance, holiness, judgment and justice?

Some Universalists believe they will make it to heaven because a loving God would never create a place like hell. They think they will have to make up for their sins in some way – in heaven – and that they are disciplined and purified in this life for their sins. Most believe punishment for sin is moral, not physical since there is no eternal damnation. Christian Universalism boils down to the claim that any doctrine about a literal hell is wrong.

There are those who also split hairs over the essential doctrine of Christ’s physical resurrection, believing He was taken into heaven by God instead of actually rising from the dead and coming out of the tomb. Groups that deny the physical resurrection of Jesus are not Christian, nor are groups who deny the teaching of the Trinity. One of the more dangerous Universalist beliefs is a type of reincarnation in which those who have rejected Christ get a second chance and can still come to faith in the next life. These teachings should be avoided, and it’s always best to test all things by the living Word of God.

Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints. For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.  Jude 3-4

* RULE 1: “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” Power is derived from 2 main sources – money and people. “Have-Nots” must build power from flesh and blood. (These are two things of which there is a plentiful supply. Government and corporations always have a difficult time appealing to people, and usually do so almost exclusively with economic arguments.)

* RULE 2: “Never go outside the expertise of your people.” It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone. (Organizations under attack wonder why radicals don’t address the “real” issues. This is why. They avoid things with which they have no knowledge.)

* RULE 3: “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)

* RULE 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules. (This is a serious rule. The besieged entity’s very credibility and reputation is at stake, because if activists catch it lying or not living up to its commitments, they can continue to chip away at the damage.)

* RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. (Pretty crude, rude and mean, huh? They want to create anger and fear.)

* RULE 6: “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.” They’ll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They’re doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones. (Radical activists, in this sense, are no different that any other human being. We all avoid “un-fun” activities, and but we revel at and enjoy the ones that work and bring results.)

* RULE 7: “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” Don’t become old news. (Even radical activists get bored. So to keep them excited and involved, organizers are constantly coming up with new tactics.)

* RULE 8: “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new. (Attack, attack, attack from all sides, never giving the reeling organization a chance to rest, regroup, recover and re-strategize.)

* RULE 9: “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.” Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist. (Perception is reality. Large organizations always prepare a worst-case scenario, something that may be furthest from the activists’ minds. The upshot is that the organization will expend enormous time and energy, creating in its own collective mind the direst of conclusions. The possibilities can easily poison the mind and result in demoralization.)

* RULE 10: “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.” Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog. (Unions used this tactic. Peaceful [albeit loud] demonstrations during the heyday of unions in the early to mid-20th Century incurred management’s wrath, often in the form of violence that eventually brought public sympathy to their side.)

* RULE 11: “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.” Never let the enemy score points because you’re caught without a solution to the problem. (Old saw: If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem. Activist organizations have an agenda, and their strategy is to hold a place at the table, to be given a forum to wield their power. So, they have to have a compromise solution.)

* RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)

Know your political enemy; this is how radicals operate and attempt to gain power. We witness this more frequently in America.

The failed protests in Wisconsin to recall Governor Scott Walker were heated and at times intimidating. There was plenty of foul language, and both communist and socialist groups had a presence there. Something else had to be behind this behavior. While navigating around the NEA website during that time, I was shocked to find on their recommended reading list, right there in plain sight, Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky, “The American Organizer.” The 1971 book articulated a socialist strategy for gaining political power to redistribute wealth. Talk about bullying, Chicago politics, and thuggery.

Why would the NEA want teachers to learn about fascist, radical, socialist-inspired methods of protesting? America found out why in 2011 when public employee unions and socialist groups took the Wisconsin state capital hostage. On the NEA website, it called Alinsky “an inspiration to anyone contemplating action in their community.” It also recommended his 1946 book Reveille for Radicals, about the principles and tactics of “community organizing.”

The Alinsky method is to: agitate, aggravate, educate, organize, ridicule, pressure, and polarize. What does this have to do with teaching children and improving education? For now, let’s state some specific examples of his tactics and techniques – otherwise known as “rules” for activists and protesters. According to its own website, the NEA talked about making people more effective activists and encouraging them “not to worry too much about getting his or her hands dirty. It’s all a part of the job, he [Alinsky] seems to say.”

Since the NEA recommended his books and wants teachers to be effective protestors, let’s take a gander at the content. This is very eye-opening to most of us in Wisconsin who witnessed the vociferous union demonstrations that caused chaos, state division, and property damage, all over the collective bargaining issue. As an activist trainer, Saul Alinsky counseled organizers and activists to cause confusion, fear, and retreat. The Wisconsin teachers who participated were just following instructions.

Why discuss this? The NEA encourages its employees to emulate Saul Alinsky. They aim to achieve their goals at any cost. Author’s note: The recommended reading page on Saul Alinsky and his books has recently been scrubbed from the National Education Association’s website.

The push for gun control in America sure won’t be slowing down anytime soon, but the legislative efforts and proposals to curb gun use ignore the nonstop violence promoted by the entertainment industry.

A majority of American adults, 80%, agree with the statement that “violent games and films contribute to violence in society.” That’s according to a brand new Vanity Fair/60 Minutes nationwide poll. Of those respondents, 45% believe those media contribute a lot to societal violence, while 35% believe it contributes “some.”

Massive evidence is available and countless studies prove the effects of simulated violence on all consumers, but especially on children. Why is Hollywood pardoned for the carnage its product constantly produces? It’s difficult to confront Hollywood decision makers and hold them accountable when they’re helping get you reelected.

In a 2013 study, the Culture and Media Institute found that in the Top 5 movies – in just one weekend – the tally included 65 scenes depicting violence, 185 people killed, shot, stabbed, beaten, burned, blown up, etc.  Hollywood supporters talk about gun control, but are unwilling to address the issue with the entertainment industry.

Meanwhile, Hollywood continues producing the most violent, sadistic movies, television programs, and morbid video games that glorify graphic violence and mayhem. Our culture has been desensitized similar to the blood-thirsty crowds in the Roman Coliseum thousands of years ago being entertained by human slaughter. One difference is we’re exposed to more violence and death than they could have imagined.

But if this was part of the problem, people would address it honestly – wouldn’t they?

Just a few days ago, California Senator, Diane Feinstein, made another plea to ban assault weapons in one of her greatest hits as far as quotes go. Feinstein stated:

“We have federal regulations and state laws that prohibit hunting ducks with more than three rounds. And yet it’s legal to hunt humans with 15-round, 30-round, even 150-round magazines. Limiting magazine capacity is critical, because it is when a criminal, a drug dealer, a deranged individual has to pause to change magazines and reload that, the police or brave bystanders have the opportunity to take that individual down.”

The heart of the problem today doesn’t lie with the instruments and tools of violence. We can’t outlaw hammers, shovels, knives, and rope, for example. To ban them would not stop evil because evil always finds another method. The Bible teaches that the heart of man is deceitful and desperately wicked, (Jer. 17:9) and America has all but abandoned God.

It’s no wonder we continue to fill Planned Parenthood dumpsters; too many Americans value choice (self) more than they value life.

George Washington, among others, emphasized religion and morality as primary foundations for a free, successful society. This is what the American way relies upon and the more God is removed, the less morality we will have. Our Founding Fathers believed it unpatriotic to remove God from the public square.

In the 1960’s, the Left increased their efforts targeting American classrooms, courtrooms, newsrooms; Hollywood, government and even our churches to promote moral relativism and minimize our Judeo-Christian way of life. In that decade, they truly advanced their agenda to eradicate God from the United States, and we’re living with the results today.

Be reminded our rights don’t come from man, but from the God of creation. If government had given us our rights, government could take them away. Chairman Mao Zedong and his regime of godless communists executed more people than anyone in world history. His view was basically that right and wrong is determined by who has all the guns.

When moral and religious standards decrease, chaos and crime increase. Passing gun legislation is just a politicized answer to a spiritual issue. We are naïve to think we can eliminate evil when few truly understand the cause. We need common sense, especially in politics.

Illinois Democrat, Jan Schakowsky, recently said that they were on a roll now with gun control andwe’re gonna push as hard as we can and as far as we can.” In other words, the assault weapons ban is really the tip of the iceberg for liberals. Schakowsky isn’t shy about admitting to liberal agendas the media refuses to report on. For example, in 2009 she told a crowd that the goal of Obamacare would be to “put the private insurance industry out of business.”

And who can forget – in an admission caught on tape – during a discussion on drilling that liberal Democrat Maxine Waters admitted they’d be about “socializing” and “taking-over” the oil companies. They want power and control.

In other government power grabs, we now know the Obama administration could legally use deadly force against Americans inside the U.S., authorizing itself to shoot anyone thought to be a threat. Drones are something right out of a Hollywood movie – but this time it’s not a movie.

We can continue having gun debates and policy arguments, but this doesn’t address a few core issues: Man has an evil, sinful nature and without God there’s little hope for this country; We place too high a priority on entertainment; Hollywood keeps promoting unlimited violence and in one way or another, America keeps paying for it.

not guns, control
