What Difference Does It Make If President Obama Is Not A Christian?

What does he really believe and why is it important? The Bible is not ambiguous, but hearing President Obama talk about religion sure can be confusing. Without knowing much about him, too many American citizens – including people of faith – voted for a man that has become the most divisive and anti-Christian president in our history. They failed to get informed and took him at his word.

He professes to be a Christian and yet he doesn’t believe Jesus is God; he is uncertain about Heaven and Hell, takes Scripture out of context, criticizes Israel, evangelicals and conservatives; and says he draws equally from many faiths. He has also shown disrespect for the Founding Fathers while publicly supporting or defending Muslim nations.

In Cairo in 2009, the President said “Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance.” In his Ramadan message, we forget he also stated,

I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear… Islam is not part of the problem in combating violent extremism – it is an important part of promoting peace; America and Islam are not exclusive and need not be in competition. Instead, they overlap, and share common principles of justice and progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.”

It happened again at the 2015 National Prayer Breakfast, not an appropriate venue to lie about Christianity in order to minimize the brutality of an ideology that has declared war on Christians, Jews, and the United States.

It happened in what was founded a Christian nation where about 75 percent of the population professes some form of Christianity; a country in which one hundred percent of our constitutional history is rooted in the Judeo-Christian ethic.

Regarding Islam, President Obama basically said, ‘Judge ye not’ as he pointed to “terrible deeds committed in the name of Christ,” such as the Crusades and more recently, slavery. What he conveniently omits is the fact that those who have done evil in Jesus’ name were not following His teachings at all! Moreover, Christians are the ones who obliterated slavery and Jim Crow; and what about modern slavery largely perpetrated by Muslims?

Author, radio host, and history professor, Peter Heck stated:

“To compare the actions of the Crusaders that he’s referencing 1,000 years ago, to the actions of ISIS militants that put people in cages and burn them alive, is so offensive to an intellect that is even remotely aware of what the Crusades are that it defies description. I cannot express to you how ignorant of a comment that is.

This is what has happened, by the way, in our universities. Taken over by leftist intellectuals, hippies now run our universities. They fabricate these lies and they repeat them so often, so frequently that they believe them themselves and certainly those who they train believe them. Barack Obama, being the product of this kind of an education – if you want to call it that – is merely regurgitating what he’s done learned.”

The Crusades erupted in defense of radical Islamists invading Europe, a continent dominated by the Christian faith at the time, from Northern Africa. Crusades were a military response to Muslim aggression and were intended to take back lands Muslims had seized and to free Christians from Muslim oppression.

Just five years after the death of Muhammad, his followers captured Jerusalem and by 732 A.D. they went into Spain. Their aggression continued for hundreds of years until finally, resistance rose up via the Crusades which began in 1095. Defenders of the president conveniently ignore true history.

Before he was elected president, Barack Obama was interviewed about his religious beliefs and said he wanted his government to operate for all faiths, including atheists and agnostics; quite a departure from our founders. He also said “sin” means being out of alignment with his personal values, and Jesus was just a historical figure. We now know much more about him by his actions and policies.

At the National Prayer Breakfast, the president also claimed “No god condones terror,” but what about Allah? Millions of terrorists are obeying the teachings of the Qur’an and the example of Muhammad, a merciless warrior bent on conquest. Jihad is a sacred duty carried out against unbelievers (in Allah), particularly against the West where Christianity has been dominant for centuries. For the president not to acknowledge the worldview of those who have openly declared to be our enemies is bewildering.

Jesus came to give His life for the sins of mankind and taught peace, forgiveness, and to love our enemies. Muhammad said ‘kill them’ and did just that by killing many innocent people. Shouldn’t we conclude Islam is not being “hijacked;” it is being obeyed? Sura 5:33 lays out how to punish those who resist Allah and Muhammad: exile from the land, “the cutting of hands and feet from opposite sides,” execution or crucifixion.

Debunking the president’s embarrassing remarks, in his article “Obama Hijacks Christianity to Defend Islam,” author and apologist, Frank Turek, wrote:

The Qur’an commands Muslims to “strike the heads” off the infidels (Sura 8:12); to “strike terror into the hearts of the enemies of Allah” (Sura 8:60); and to “slay the idolaters wherever you find them” and to “prepare them for every ambush” (Sura 9:5).

Sura 9:29 tells Muslims to “Fight those who do not believe in Allah… until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.” (After all, the word “Islam” means “submission.” If you don’t submit and become a Muslim, you will die or pay a tax.) The next verse says, “May Allah destroy [the Christians and the Jews].”

It should not surprise us many Americans are unaware of actual world history and the teachings of the major religions. It is disappointing however, the views of the president and others go virtually unchallenged by most fact checkers, the liberal media, and uninformed citizens. This is a problem. Obama’s comments reflect his worldview which supports his administration’s lack of action when it comes to national defense, and lack of wisdom regarding foreign policy.

If you believe the Bible is true and say you are a Christian and yet still support the president, this may be a good time to examine your loyalty to the Democrat party and its policies. His idea of Christianity is based on Black Liberation Theology, Marxism, and collective salvation as well as a progressive political ideology. His comments at the National Prayer Breakfast again reveal where his allegiance lies – and it is not good for America.

The IRS: Corruption of a Partisan Government Agency

“You are the Internal Revenue Service. You can reach into the lives of hard-working taxpayers and with a phone call, an e-mail or a letter you can turn their lives upside down. You ask taxpayers to hang onto seven years of their personal tax information in case they are ever audited, and you can’t keep six months’ worth of employee e-mails?” Paul Ryan

Media bias is one thing, but government bias toward individual American citizens is another; and in this case they go together. We’re in dangerous territory, not to mention it being a disservice to millions.

Everyone is affected by IRS tax codes and all working citizens – even liberals – are (supposedly) susceptible to potential scrutiny including a dreaded IRS audit. Some may be able to look past the truth relating to Benghazi, Fast and Furious, “green energy” scandals, government waste and fraud, ObamaCare, Common Core, the national debt, and a list of other subjects, but shouldn’t we care about what the IRS has done – and still may be doing to people just like you and me?

Similar to the press, the IRS is responsible for serving all people in the country, not just the ones they agree with politically, but where the media is concerned, too many have been on a hiatus of sorts since Barack Obama was elected in 2008. When Democrats are in charge in Washington, the media seem to relax and enjoy the run, but when Republicans run things, the media holds them accountable and their work ethic returns with greater intensity, endurance, and persistence leaving no stone unturned in their investigations and political reporting.

The Internal Revenue Service scandal actually began back in April 2010, but as evidence mounted and cover-ups were unable to be sustained any longer, the dam finally broke wide open by May 2013. As I reviewed details of the IRS investigation, I was reminded of the level of indisputable corruption within the Agency as well as the many lies told in an attempt to delay the truth from being revealed.

Sharyl Attkisson reported in September 2014 computer crashes caused the IRS to lose emails from five more employees who happen to be under investigation by Congress in the case involving the targeting of conservatives. At this time, more than twenty IRS employees have allegedly had their computers crash which caused the deletion or the loss of their emails as well as hard drives. Apparently, only conservatives and Republicans in government agencies are required by law to back-up their data on external hard drives.

A Senate subcommittee report confirmed the findings that “the IRS picked conservative groups out of normal processing, forced them to answer intrusive questions about their behavior and demeanor at meetings, and delayed their applications for multiple years.” The investigation uncovered no evidence liberal groups received the same inappropriate treatment conservative groups received. Two of the IRS agents involved worked in a Cincinnati office processing applications for tax-exempt status, and the most well-known computer crash victim is former IRS Exempt Organizations Division Director, Lois Lerner.

Under Lerner’s watch, from April 2010 to April 2012, the IRS placed holds on the processing of hundreds of applications for tax-exempt status from organizations known to be conservative. We now know some of the labels that were flagged by the IRS for special attention were those with “Tea Party,” “Patriots,” “Take Back the Country,” “We the People,” or “9/12” in their names. During those two years, the IRS only approved four applications from conservative groups while giving a green light to those whose names included “Liberal,” “Progress,” “Progressive,” or “Equality,” to name a few.

By intimidating conservative groups and limiting their ability to freely campaign and mobilize for a cause or candidate, the IRS indirectly affected the outcomes of elections across the United States. The impact of this illegal activity still has some residual effect on conservative organizations today. Many fair minded citizens believe IRS activity had an influence on the 2012 Presidential Election; we just don’t fully know to what degree.

In February of 2014, it was also learned of the already-existing nonprofits flagged for IRS Surveillance, 83% were conservative. The government monitored the group’s activities, their websites, and other publicly available information. Moreover, other sources reported even citizens donating to tea party-affiliated groups were audited ten times more than average Americans.

But one of the most glaring facts revealing Democrat-control and corruption is that of all the groups the IRS selected for audit, 100% of them were conservative.

On top of the proof the IRS used “inappropriate criteria” to review applications from tea party and other conservative groups, House Ways and Means Chairman, Dave Camp (R-MI) stated:

“We now know that the IRS targeted not only right-leaning applicants, but also right-leaning groups that were already operating as 501(c)(4)s.”

In April 2014, TownHall.com’s Katie Pavlich reported that Judicial Watch released documents showing IRS officials, including Lois Lerner, not just silencing conservatives, but also discussing the possibility of bringing criminal charges against tea party groups for engaging in “political activity.” In fact, the documents showed Lerner wanted to bring charges against someone and make an example out of them in order to intimidate or squelch all of the groups in the tea party movement.

According to House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, Lerner had a database (1.1 million pages) of tax exempt organizations sent to the FBI just before the 2010 midterm elections. It should concern most Americans that Obama’s DOJ, the IRS, and the FBI were working together to advance a scheme to criminally prosecute conservative organizations!

Even in the face of these facts, Democrats insist it was just another phony scandal Republicans were trying to extend as the November 2014 Midterm elections drew closer. Former Attorney General Eric Holder has turned down numerous requests from congressional Republicans for a special prosecutor. One of the most detailed and extensive timelines revealing the order of events relating to the IRS targeting of conservative groups is on the website of Discover the Networks, a resource you will most likely want to bookmark and research. Check out this extensive timeline and make up your own mind.

Sadly, the IRS saga continues and conveniently for Democrats in power, the whole truth will never be fully known due to the successful cover-up by government as well as the media’s minimizing of the truth. In all honesty, what kind of outcome do you suppose we would have had in this scandal had there been a Republican president in the White House and the targeting was done to liberal groups? The media would have reported on the story quite differently.

CBS was a day late covering the Lerner missing emails development and rather than give air time to the fact the IRS lied about her hard drive crashing when it was actually just “scratched,” the story appeared only on the CBS News website. NBC was the least interested in keeping its viewers informed on the developments as they failed to mention the story for an entire month!

Geoffrey Dickens at Newsbusters reported that none of the networks mentioned the latest details in the IRS scandal and summed up the network negligence in one sentence:

“The saga of Lois Lerner’s missing emails took a bunch of twists and turns this past week, but you wouldn’t know that if you only got your news from the Big Three (ABC, CBS, NBC) networks.”

The fact our First Amendment rights are being threatened should concern every one of us who cares about free speech and expression, whether that be religious or political. In the midst of all this, the IRS actually proposed new regulations at the end of 2013 that would prevent 501(c)(4) groups from engaging in political activity. It seems they were not affected by the investigation or perhaps they hadn’t heard about it.

What have we learned? The IRS has operated as one of President Obama’s most powerful weapons to divert, intimidate, and punish his opposition. This corrupt government agency is no longer just collecting taxes and keeping records of revenue, nor is the IRS “serving” all Americans the way we would like to think.

This is not just about politics, it is about the freedom to share our views including the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. The effort we make to speak the truth is a God-ordained endeavor. Striving for integrity and truth in media is important, and as Christians our ultimate aim must be living for and obeying God. How soon will it be before our government punishes us for our faith and forces us to choose? It’s here; believers are already being discriminated against and silenced so we better raise awareness while we can.

HOW HOLLYWOOD, GOVERNMENT, PUBLIC SCHOOLS, AND THE LIBERAL MEDIA ARE PUSHING A HOMOSEXUAL AGENDA

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Every one of us has the ability to fall into a life of sin. If it were not for God’s grace, we’d be lost and without hope. But while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Rom. 5:8), and the Father’s love for us is so great that we are called His children (1 John 3:1). However, if any one of us is unrepentant and continues in a sinful lifestyle, whatever that sin may be, we will not inherit the kingdom of God and cannot be his child. Sadly, because of those who have promoted homosexuality as normal in our society, many have been confused or deceived. We need to pray they won’t be lost forever!

It is undeniable that homosexuality has gained acceptance, approval, and momentum in America. Thanks to the marketers of sin, morality has been redefined in our culture. In the span of just over five decades, America has displayed a radical reversal in standards and attitudes toward sin in general, but specifically toward homosexuality…

Radio host, Peter Heck, stated emphatically that both Bible-believing Christians and progress-seeking homosexuals cannot live in the same culture where there is such a sharp public disagreement about sin. Heck quoted a national leader in the gay and lesbian movement that stressed the goal of “pushing the parameters of sex” while “transforming the very fabric of society.” Heck clarified:

They know the success of their cause depends upon the total abolishment of the Judeo-Christian ethic and the Moral Authority it teaches. That is why any belief that the homosexual lobby is merely a passive group of individuals wanting to peacefully coexist with others who have different beliefs and values is naively absurd.

The apostle Paul writes that they “exchanged the truth of God for a lie” and worshiped themselves (Romans 1:25).
For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error (Romans 1:26-27).

God allows people to rebel and choose sin over him. It is repeated in these verses that a relationship between a man and a woman is natural and necessary. Indecent sexual behavior leads to severe consequences. In the Old Testament, homosexuality is called an abomination. In America today it is called “normal.”

I honestly cannot imagine the emptiness of a homosexual lifestyle where sexual activity is the primary thing that provides fulfillment. I have read the average male homosexual live-in relationship only lasts between two and three years. In a study published in Journal of Research, Paul Van de Ven studied the sexual profiles of 2,583 older homosexuals. The study found only 2.7% “claimed to have sex with one partner only.”

…the life expectancy for homosexuals is about twenty years shorter than that of the general public. The study, entitled “Gay obituaries closely track officially reported deaths from AIDS,” has been published in Psychological Reports. Study after indisputable study has indicated that the average male homosexual has hundreds of sex partners in his lifetime. This further proves that behavior is the underlying issue. One classic study of homosexuality and lesbianism was done by A.P. Bell and M.S. Weinberg. They found that 43% of white male homosexuals had sex with 500 or more partners, with 28% having 1,000 or more sex partners.

The promotion of promiscuity is practically everywhere in our secular-progressive culture so who and what contributed to altering traditional beliefs in America? A pioneer of perversion, the man who regarded humans as animals is well respected today in colleges and universities. If you hear his name in the future, you’ll now understand that tragically, there may be no bigger and more damaging influence on sexuality in America than Alfred Kinsey.

How about Hollywood? Do you think it is a coincidence or intentional that you can hardly find a scripted show on prime time television that does not feature a friendly, likeable, well-adjusted homosexual character? Hollywood is one of God’s biggest offenders.

Because this has not been important to Christians in the past, we (believers, conservatives, families, parents, traditional Americans) have lost some ground when it comes to what kind of programming invades our living rooms via the TV. We must take our business elsewhere if companies sponsor shows and movies supporting anti-biblical and homosexual propaganda, but we don’t.

Hollywood continues to nominate and award Oscars to gay-friendly movies almost every year, even if some films are practically unknown to the public. If you haven’t figured it out yet, the Academy Awards are not geared toward conservative or traditional Americans.

How about the church? One of the saddest things to see in America today is the infiltration of gay ministers and pastors in churches, along with the growing openness to homosexuality in Christian churches. I did not say ‘openness to homosexuals’; we should be loving and compassionate toward any and every sinner. I said “openness to homosexuality” meaning it has become rationalized not only in culture, but also in some churches. It is the rise of apostasy: gay churches and leadership that preach accommodation and community instead of the conviction of sin. These deceived people are glossing over homosexuality and are not helping those in bondage… [I am not even sure if they know the Bible.]

Pastor Joe Schimmel of Good Fight Ministries shared some thought-provoking truths:

“We need to distance ourselves from two extremes regarding homosexuality. One extreme is the ‘God hates fags’ crowd, who treat homosexual behavior as the unforgivable sin. The other extreme to taking a cavalier attitude toward homosexuality, and fail to recognize that the Scriptures teach that sexual sin is destructive in a way that other sins are not (1 Cor. 6:18).”

I don’t understand why so many Christian leaders have remained silent or neutral, allowing evil to be pushed on young children.
Linda Harvey gave a plea to pastors and Christian leaders in which she shared concerns that homosexuality could destroy American culture and infect the Church. She, like many of us, believes the Church will have a lot of explaining to do on Judgment Day. In her article, “What’s at Stake for Christians in the War over Homosexuality,” [Mission America’s] Linda Harvey pleaded:

Why did you spend little or no time in the pulpit dealing with this and all the related sexuality issues – promiscuity, pornography, adultery, fornication – sins that are tearing apart the families and personal lives of even Bible-confessing Christians? Why did you constantly decry ‘political involvement’ when this is a deeply moral issue, one for which there are ready arguments to be made in the public square had more Christian leaders been willing to make them?

God has no pleasure in the death of the wicked (Ezekiel 33:11) so He is patiently waiting for Christians to speak up about sexual immorality instead of ignoring it – or worse – accepting it. When pastors refuse to address sin, it is up to you and me.

God’s Word is our standard and the foundation upon which America shaped its original laws and values. Don’t allow the revisers of history to tell you otherwise, and don’t fall for their talking points. Someone’s natural identity (who a person is) is not the same as their chosen sexual behavior (what a person does). The Bible teaches that we are born in God’s image, and this includes the person struggling with homosexual behavior.

It is important to remember none of us is without sin, and Christians are called to love the homosexual. The Bible does not teach that gay people are inferior any more than it teaches abortionists, alcoholics, child molesters, idol worshipers, wife abusers or pornographers are inferior people. Sin is any behavior contrary to God’s law, and it is the very reason Jesus Christ suffered and died…

It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all. Yet for this reason I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life (1 Timothy 1:15-16).

If you and I do not tell them the truth, who will?

House Midterm elections map

Now what? A tidal wave of victories by Republicans in the 2014 Midterm elections only matter if those in power will stop the radical transformation of the United States of America. Voters are overwhelmingly unhappy with the direction of the country.

The Obama agenda must be thwarted; reckless spending must be stopped, the Constitution must be upheld, Planned Parenthood must be de-funded, families must be strengthened, marriage must be protected, ObamaCare must be repealed and replaced, Common Core must be eliminated, the borders must be secured and laws enforced.

There is much work to do and to whom much is given, much will be required. A great responsibility comes with this historic victory. Republicans have been given marching orders from fed-up citizens demanding to be heard. Stop compromising and return to conservative principles! The country must be given back to the people who sent a clear message to both political parties: liberalism, Marxism, and socialism won’t cut it in America!

The national debt is now over $17.9 trillion. Government must be reduced, cuts must be made, and taxes must be lowered to help struggling small businesses and middle-income Americans. The Obama administration must be held accountable and recent history proves the media sure won’t do it. Administration appointees, government agencies such as the IRS, and Leftist judges must be kept in check. Why have laws if lawlessness goes unpunished?

The job outlook is not good and more people are relying on welfare than ever before in our history. There are more broken families, people are hurting, the spiritual state of the country is stagnant, and the church has become less effective in culture as morality declines.

To be sure, there were some outstanding developments from the 2014 Midterms. The Republicans increased the number of seats in the House of Representatives by a net of 12, expanding their majority beyond 246, a record set in the 1946 election. They easily took control of the Senate while holding onto or winning a record number of Governor’s races in blue states like Massachusetts, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Maryland.

• Eighteen-year-old Saira Blair will become the youngest state lawmaker in West Virginia history. The pro-life, pro-gun Republican won a seat in the state House of Delegates to become the youngest state lawmaker in the U.S.
• Mia Love celebrated her surprise victory in Utah as the first black Republican woman to be elected to the House of Representatives.
• South Carolina officially elected Senator Tim Scott, making him the first black candidate to win a statewide race since just after the Civil War.
• Also elected to the Senate was Joni Ernst, the first woman elected who served in combat (Operation Iraqi Freedom in Kuwait) and is a lieutenant colonel in the Iowa Army National Guard.
• In Texas, Will Hurd, a black Republican and former undercover CIA officer was elected to the House.
• Former White House aide to George W. Bush, Elise Stefanik (30) is now the youngest woman ever elected to Congress, winning voters in a blue New York district.

The Democrat’s fake war on women and attempts at playing the race card failed miserably. Enjoy this moment because it is time for action.

We still need to encourage more Christians and religious citizens to vote or the 2016 Presidential election could be a big disappointment. The church could learn a lesson here. It appears conservatives worked to get their candidates elected across the country and the Republican ground game was much better organized which resulted in an annihilation of President Obama’s policies, many of which directly oppose the Bible’s teachings.

Why is this so important? Politics affect every one of us! All these gains could amount to little if we the people don’t fight the foundational moral and spiritual battle upon which all else is based, and demand our representatives do the same.

Some might argue “but you can’t legislate morality.” If that were the case, why do we even have laws then? The truth is someone’s morality gets legislated and is enforced every day in America. No government, no law, and no man is neutral. Individually and as a society we are either moving toward God or away from Him. We can sum up the battle in three words: God or man.

Every law and regulation that is proposed and passed enforces one worldview or the other. It is impossible not to legislate morality. The Law is a moral teacher. The question is, which vision of law and morality will be enacted?

America once enjoyed a limited government by the people for the people; a constitutional republic our parents and grandparents took for granted. You and I have done the same and we are less free today; government is more godless, culture is darker, sin is rampant, and Christians are less vocal outside of church. As the church goes, so goes America.

John Quincy Adams once said, “The highest glory of the American Revolution was this: it connected in one indissoluble bond the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity.”

When you vote for today’s Democrat party, you are supporting abortion, homosexuality, government expansion, Christ-less public education, and socialism for starters. Neither party is perfect, but a stark, glaring contrast exists in terms of biblical values.

We desperately need change, but political change alone without a return to Christian principles might only last until the next election. This victory will not bring restoration and a much-needed revival to our land unless Christians repent and return to Jesus Christ, our only hope. Some good might be done short term, but God will not bless a nation whose leaders have turned their backs on Him. Our founders believed this and deep down, you and I know it as well.

UN-common Ground: Christianity, Islam and ISIS

Chrislam

In light of recent world events including the rise of ISIS, and the ongoing slaughter of Christians, many people are still confused about the differences between the teachings of Islam compared to Christianity. The first obvious contrast is Jesus taught love and forgiveness; the prophet Muhammad was a violent warrior who promoted conquest, and killed Jews and Christians.

Here in America, there are over 3.5 million Muslims, but the problem is with a minority of the overall Muslim population that has blended into our society with the goal of implementing acts of takeover or terror. Estimates suggest there are about 250,000 radicals who are patiently working and waiting for the call to jihad. Another problem is very few “moderate” Muslims publicly renounce acts of terror taking place around the world. One cannot help but wonder exactly where they stand.

It is no secret the Obama administration has openly supported Islam since the president’s 2009 speech in Cairo. Ever since the “Arab Spring” in early 2011, Sharia Law was implemented in Islamic countries and the persecution of Christians has reached record levels. Few media outlets reported one year after President Obama released Abu Bakr al Baghdadi from an Iraqi jail, Baghdadi formed ISIS and they have been on a bloody rampage of terror, death, and evil ever since. Where should Americans stand?

The following is a book excerpt from ERADICATE: BLOTTING OUT GOD IN AMERICA. (See chapter 13, “Counterfeit Christianity”)

Both Christianity and Islam promote a standard of morality and doing good works, but the god of Islam is not the same as the living God of the Holy Bible. The Muslim holy book is called the Quran, which is an Arabic word that literally means “the recitation.” The Quran considers Jesus a prophet, but not the Son of God or Savior. Muslims do not believe Jesus died on the cross, but that he was assumed to heaven by Allah.

“Jesus is like Adam in the sight of Allah. Allah created him of dust and then said to him: ‘Be,’ and he was” (Quran 3:55, 58). In other words, [to Muslims] Jesus was a created being like us with no divine attributes. The Bible however, teaches:

In the beginning … The Word was with God … He [Jesus] was with God in the beginning; all things were created by Him and for Him (John 1:1; Colossians 1:16).

In the Muslim teachings of the end times, Jesus appears before Allah and is asked if He ever claimed to be Allah’s son; Jesus says no. Jesus then gets angry and helps the Muslim Messiah kill every remaining Jew and Christian. The Trinity is also not supported by Allah.

The Bible was written by at least forty different authors over a period of at least 1,500 years, and its unity and continuity are still apparent and cohesive. The Prophet Muhammad is said to have received divine revelation (recitations) from Allah over a period of twenty-three years. Since Muhammad could not read or write, he “recited” the contents of his revelation to fellow companions. They in turn memorized and recited it to the next generation. The companions eventually wrote down what was recited to them on animal skins and bones, large stones, and on big palm leaves.

There are contradictions in the Quran; at times Allah commands Muslims to love Jews and Christians and at other times calls for their death, if they do not convert to Islam. Because there are verses that teach peace, you may hear Islam referred to as a religion of peace. However, other instructions in the Quran order Muslims to kill all unbelievers, especially the more recent verses relating to Jews and Christians. What does a follower of Islam do when two instructions seem to contradict each other? This word is a pivotal key to unlocking the answer: abrogation.

Abrogation is a recurring theme whenever apparent conflicting verses of the Quran are discussed. It means to cancel, repeal, or officially revoke something. In this situation, the later or more recent verses calling for Holy War override earlier verses counseling tolerance or peace.

Committed followers of Islam will settle for nothing short of universal conversion and eventual death to all infidels.
“I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved, so strike [them] upon the necks and strike from them every finger¬tip” (Quran 8:12). And, “Strike off the heads of the unbelievers, and after making a wide slaughter among them, carefully tie up the remaining captives” (Quran 47:4).

One may argue our God commands violence just like Allah does. We must distinguish between commands given to nations and instructions to individuals. In addition, killing while under command and submission to an army is very different than murdering someone as a private citizen. Though there were wars and plenty of violence in the Old Testament, God warned enemies of Israel about his holiness, his covenant, and he used people as his instrument of judgment in the world at the time. Jehovah God even put to death some of his own people who violated their covenant with him, but he never commands us to take our own revenge.

You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the sons of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself; I am the LORD (Leviticus 19:18).

Bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you… If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even ‘sinners’ love those who love them (Luke 6:28, 32).

“And fight them until there is no fitnah [tumult, disorder, trial, test, unbelief] and until the religion, all of it, is for Allah. And if they cease – then indeed, Allah is Seeing of what they do” (Quran 8:39).

Islam is completely incompatible with a society such as America that values religious freedom. Islam will accept no other religions, no competing economic or political views and no legal system except Sharia Law which would outlaw Christianity. Islam teaches that good Muslims should lie to their enemies to win their confidence. Allah himself lies, and the teachings of the prophet Muhammad accuse Jesus of lying.

This may explain how Muslims have broken every peace treaty they have ever signed with Israel and other nations.

God is not a man that he should lie (Numbers 23:19).

Since many liberals, media, and progressives are hostile toward Christianity, they have blind support for Islam. They are either deceived, or they are part of the agenda to blot out the Judeo-Christian God from America. Islamic Law calls for potential death sentences for adulterers and homosexuals. Where are the gay protests of Muslims? Christianity teaches us to forgive, to love all men, and preach the gospel. We are to confront sin, but not hate the sinner. Islam also allows the treatment of women as property while Christianity teaches respect.Where are the feminist protests of Muslim women being oppressed or stoned?

Because Islam denies the deity of Jesus Christ, according to 1 John 4:1-3, it is a religion of antichrist. So, if the founder of Islam, Muham¬mad, was actually a false prophet who did not hear from the one true living God, then those who follow him are deceived. Furthermore, in the Quran it states they [Jews and Christians] are deluded and “may Allah destroy them” in Surah 9:30. This proves that to compare Islam to Christianity is like comparing oil and water.

Jesus did not come to earth to bring world peace (Matt. 10:34), and yet there are religious leaders in America preaching common ground with Islam hoping to unify all religions. Nowhere in the Bible does God encourage joining with other religions. On the contrary, He warns against it. It’s not that we shouldn’t evangelize people of other faiths, but typically the faith that bends and compromises is Christianity, leaving a diluted gospel. This doesn’t stop some from attempting to mix Christianity and Islam.

CHRISLAM

“Chrislam” is the idea that Muslims and Christians worship the same God and that there are similarities to unite around. We’ve already established this is impossible and that Allah is not the same as Jehovah God, YHWH. Though both Christianity and Islam have Abrahamic roots, and both religions promote morality, the similarities pretty much stop there. Teachings that line up with Chrislam gain popularity because tolerance has trumped truth in our modern culture. This is a small movement, but don’t be surprised if it gains popularity.

We are to separate ourselves from unbelievers and those who worship other gods:

Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partner¬ship have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? …or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? (2 Corinthians 6:14-15).

Islam allows for lying and deception in order to advance their quest for world domination, so how can we work side by side with those who subscribe to what is called “Kitman,” the practice of deceiving infidels with half-truths? In countries not yet dominated by Islam, it only coexists with other religions because they have not been fully converted to Islam yet. We, however, believe salvation is by faith in Christ alone. Islam rejects this teaching.

I don’t care what evangelical leader backs this common ground movement. Conservative Christians must be loyal and obedient to the truth and the gospel of Jesus Christ and not be concerned with the approval of man. This does not mean we can’t love them and have a heart for the lost. It means we must be cautious about a religion that teaches Jesus was an apostle of Allah and not the only Son of God. John MacArthur explains:

“Islam today is the most powerful system on earth for the destruction of biblical truth and Christianity – thousands of Christians are dying under Islamic persecution, especially in the Middle East, Africa, Indonesia, and other parts of Asia. Clearly, Islam and Christianity are mutually exclusive. Both claim to be the only true way to God, but both cannot be right. There is no atonement in Islam, no forgiveness, no savior, and no assurance of eternal life.”

UNCOMMON GROUND

In October 2007, leaders of Islam came up with an open letter to leaders of the Christian faith in America called A Common Word Between Us and You calling for peace between Muslims and Christians and an understanding among both religions. They sought to emphasize two of the Ten Commandments; the love of god and the love of our neighbor. What’s wrong with that? Islamic leaders stated, “The future of the world depends on peace between Muslims and Christians.”

Not only is the world’s future in God’s hands, but the Bible teaches a very different future than other religions believe. Jesus warned about false prophets, wars, and nation rising against nation in the end times. It should also be noted that Islam means absolute “submission.” The Islamic model of the relationship between Allah and his followers is that of a master and servant. Christianity teaches that we are children of God and are privileged to call him our Father.

What did our best and brightest leaders do? Scholars from Yale Divinity School decided to respond to the letter from Islamic leaders by publishing a full page advertisement in the New York Times titled, “Loving God and Neighbor Together: A Christian Response to A Common Word Between Us and You.” They promised to “work diligently together to reshape relations between our communities and our nations.”

The response includes Christian repentance over the mistreatment of Muslims and, yet, does not include any mention of differences between Allah and Yahweh! This leaves us with one of two conclusions: either these liberal evangelicals and scholars are confused and deceived about the teachings of Islam or they are complicit in the goal of a one-world government and the minimizing of Christianity. Muslims are taught that if they are a minority in any country or region, they may smile at the infidel, but never love him in their heart. Could the letter from Islamic leaders be just another way to try to win the trust of America?

The document’s signatories include many well-known church leaders as Leigh Anderson (President of the National Association of Evangelicals), Bill Hybels (Founder and Pastor of Willow Creek Community Church), Tony Jones (Emergent Village), Brian McLaren (Author, Speaker and Activist), Robert Schuller (The Crystal Cathedral), Rick Warren (Saddleback Church), and Jim Wallis (Sojourners, Red Letter Christians).

Having open dialogue about peace and love is fine, but Muslims seem to be fighting with just about every nation they have not conquered or dominated. They are killing one another in the Middle East, and they attack and kill non-Muslims across the globe. Since Ishmael, Abraham’s first son, was born outside of God’s perfect will to Abraham’s servant Hagar, the Lord said the birthright and inheritance would go to Isaac, the son of Abraham’s wife, Sarah. Muslims believe Abraham’s first son Ishmael deserved the inheritance which explains the constant fighting and strife in Islamic nations fulfilling God’s prophecy over Ishmael:

He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone’s hand against him. And he will live in hostility toward all his brothers (Genesis 16:12).

In the previous chapter in Genesis, God spoke to Abraham regarding his sons Ishmael and Isaac:

Then behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “This man will not be your heir; but one who will come forth from your own body, he shall be your heir (Genesis 15:4).

To focus on a few common teachings without looking seriously at major doctrines that are diametrically opposed to one another is misguided.

Our real enemy is Satan, our struggle is a spiritual one, and we need to pray for enemies of God to be saved. If this were impossible, Jesus would not have instructed us to “pray for those who persecute you. (Matthew 5:44).” Lord, help us to be more discerning and never be ashamed of the true gospel of Jesus Christ – “the way, the truth, and the life.”

Gay Marriage is Not God’s Marriage

We’ve just been given another wake-up call, this time from the U.S. Supreme Court as it struck down a provision of the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) this week. That provision prevented married gay couples from receiving tax, health, and retirement benefits.

This is another reminder that it is up to the people rather than secular government to defend God’s principles in an ungodly culture.

God created the heavens and the earth, and mankind is made in His image. God’s plan for marriage is woven through Scripture and has been implemented throughout history. Marriage predates kings and governments.

By the intricate engineering of the male and female bodies, science also confirms we are uniquely designed for procreation and for the opposite sex.

Apparently, none of this matters to five of these nine judicial appointees. Man often thinks he knows better than God. Defining marriage is still up to individual states as the Supreme Court did not impose federal law on marriage. That said, this decision is likely to embolden activists and sends the dangerous message that children do not necessarily need a mother and a father.

It also means states that have already passed same-sex marriage laws can now force the federal government to recognize their mockery of society’s foundational institution.

The question must again be asked, ‘will gay activists be content with this decision or will they aim to advance their agenda?’

Answer: Immediately following the court’s decision, top activist lawyers stood on the Supreme Court steps and reiterated their promise to push gay marriage nationwide. It will not be enough for them to be content with a few legal victories until they enforce their agenda and will upon all Americans, including the majority that disagrees with them.

Living in proud, open rebellion to God’s laws, they not only refuse to obey and submit to His authority, they aim to take it away as an option for us as well. They will protest our free speech when it comes to faith and religious liberty proving their intolerance of those of us who believe they are wrong.

We didn’t get here overnight.

Sadly, the media’s promotion of homosexuality and their lobbying for the Left has had a major impact swaying the minds of the uninformed. They influenced public opinion to the point where more Americans are softening towards sin; this includes Christians. A recent Pew Forum survey on media coverage exposed the truth; in their reporting, the media supported same-sex marriage 5 to 1 hoping the public would soon think it is inevitable. Breakpoint’s Ben Booker wrote:

This is a major failing on the media’s part. The purpose of the press is to inform the public about what is occurring in society. Yet instead of representing the real opposition to same-sex marriage, the media has decided to promote the idea that same-sex marriage is a foregone conclusion. Its limited perspective has been detrimental in several ways.

But even with their biased reporting, it is fascinating that in Illinois, one of the bluest of blue states, the legislature failed to pass a same-sex marriage bill because they didn’t have enough votes for it. Illinois is a Democratic stronghold and yet it still didn’t go the way of California, whose liberal court (The Ninth Circus) overturned the will of 7 million voters that cast their ballots in favor of marriage between one man and one woman in 2008.

The media portrays the issue as already decided and more people assume there is no reason to debate it, which is what activists want.

Christians may never have fair representation in the media, but we can’t stop raising awareness and sharing the truth. Religious leaders and pastors must actively and purposefully preach and teach on marriage so that their congregants are informed and able to defend traditional marriage.

The Court can declare same-sex “marriage” a legal right in the eyes of government, but judges cannot make it morally right in the hearts of the people.

Regardless of what the Left, the media, government, Hollywood, and activists want us to believe, we’re still the majority. We have the power of prayer and elections, for starters. It still comes down to the people.

Nothing the marketers of evil do should surprise us anymore and we must refuse to let a court’s definition of marriage discourage us from understanding the times and seeing the big picture. Some put their stock in a temporary, worthless certificate of same-sex marriage, but we put our faith in the priceless, eternal truths of the Word of God.

Liars and Tyrants and Bureaucrats – AND the Media!

Who’s in charge here, anyway? The Obama administration is responsible for everything, but knows nothing. America is in ruins, scandal, and no one’s to blame. Evidently, the buck permanently stopped with George W. Bush.

The ever so smug White House Press Secretary, Jay Carney, has had a tough go of it lately creatively answering questions saying he doesn’t know anything and the president had absolutely no knowledge or involvement – in anything. Apparently, ‘at no time was the Obama administration aware of what the Obama administration was doing.’ 

It’s funny, infuriating, and sad all at the same time. The most corrupt government in American history has not, is not, and will not be held accountable for their actions.

I hope I’m wrong; nothing will come from any of this.

With Americans as uninformed and disinterested as we’ve ever seen, consider the mounting information that continues to be brushed under the rug. If President Obama were a Republican, he never would have been reelected in 2012 and he’d be impeached in 2013.

But the media refuses to report the truth – unless they are practically forced to – about anything remotely negative on Obama, and four years of this has not only led to a well- insulated president, but also citizens who are not hearing many facts.

A CNN poll last week revealed 53% of Americans still approve of the job Obama is doing as president! Since it’s nearly impossible to estimate how many of these are die-hard liberals, progressives, Democrats, and college students, we should assume a majority of them have little interest or knowledge of Obama’s actual record. Gallup also has Obama’s approval right around 51%. So – what gives? His approval should be in the 30’s.

It’s been suggested that the media can tilt an election by approximately 8 points. I’d also say they can influence polls and approval ratings by making a devil seem like an angel.

America has reached a tipping point. While people are getting more frustrated, government is becoming more arrogant and evasive. Here are some stories that come to mind.

Who can forget the Obamacare monstrosity that was rushed through Congress and then crammed, forced, and stuffed down the American people’s throats? Nancy Pelosi infamously told us we’d have to pass the bill to find out what was in it, and now it’s old news. The lies have been told, the people have been deceived, and more than $1 trillion in new taxes and more than $2 trillion in new spending later, the Democrats have gotten away with their abuse of power – Scott-free.

Even HHS Secretary Sebelius admitted insurance premiums will increase and approximately 24 million Americans will lose their current coverage once Obamacare kicks into gear. Because of this, some employers are already cutting full-time workers hours so they won’t be forced to pay for as many employees’ insurance plans.

Blue Cross Blue Shield, for one, has proposed a 25% rate increase for many of their plans.

Insurance rates have gone up, people have lost health care coverage, employers have been forced to drop certain plans, and countless medical costs have gone up because of the upcoming changes in the law – forced upon the majority of Americans.

A few years ago, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer was begging our own government for help protecting the U.S./Mexico border. Citizens were having property damaged or stolen, deaths were reported, and Mexican gun cartel activity was traced nearly 100 miles into Arizona. What happened? The Obama administration sued the state of Arizona for enforcing their immigration laws.

Next, when it came to the deaths of American and Mexican citizens, the reckless Fast and Furious gun-running operation was forgotten shortly after Obama protected Erik Holder and the (In)Justice Department by exercising his executive privilege – after it was confirmed Holder lied and was held in contempt of Congress.  

One scandal I thought would stick was Benghazi. The evasive runaround, the administration’s laughable talking points, and the complicit media silence kept people uninformed. The scandal didn’t stick, but it does stink. The spin and media puppet show shielded Obama and leading up to the 2012 Presidential Election, the Obama administration received extremely little scrutiny for the Benghazi incident and how it was mishandled back in D.C.

Remember the stimulus debacle? We’re talking about massive spending of taxpayer money on green energy scams; I mean “investments.” Jobs were promised and immediate economic growth was predicted and yet, one after the other, these companies failed miserably.

Solar Trust for America, declared bankruptcy after receiving $2.1 billion in loan guarantees from the Department of Energy.  First Solar blew through $1.46 billion, Solyndra wasted $535 million, Fisker Automotive received $529 million, Evergreen Solar spent $527 million, and the list goes on.

Now, we see the current, growing AP scandal involving information leaks as well as the DOJ seizing records of several Fox News employees while they targeted reporter James Rosen.

It’s also been confirmed the IRS has strategically targeted the Tea Party, Christians, and many conservative groups including Republican business executives that simply donated to the Romney campaign. (The IRS internal investigation was hidden from Congress and ended prior to the ’12 election)

Naturally, no one in the Obama administration knows anything.

To end with a ‘you just can’t make this stuff up’ storyline twist, the crony slated to take over Obamacare for the IRS, Lois Lerner, will apparently take the 5th in the ongoing investigation of IRS corruption.

I also faintly recall ongoing investigations regarding voter fraud in the 2008 and 2012 elections.

Geez, I hope the media or Obama Justice Department find some answers they’re not really seeking.

It’s all “ongoing.” Most of us are not holding our breath.
